A Growing Foreign-Language Learning Culture, Outstanding Results by Employees
August 27, 2026

Since the implementation of the WIETC Employee Foreign Language Proficiency Enhancement Action Plan, employees across the Company have responded enthusiastically and taken the initiative to improve their foreign language skills in their daily work, fostering an ever-stronger learning culture. Departments and overseas subsidiaries, in light of their own circumstances, have set up foreign-language learning groups and actively organized various forms of study. The Corporate Training Academy has invited colleagues with outstanding language skills to share their learning experience, engaged teachers of French and English from Shandong University to deliver lectures, and uploaded French, English and other language courses onto the online learning platform for employees to study at their convenience. Many employees have also persisted in self-study in their spare time, focusing on applying what they learn, and have achieved notable results.

Recently, Qi Pan, General Manager of Zhengwei Senegal, Wang Liang, Deputy General Manager of Zhengwei (DRC), Li Chao, Cost Engineer of Zhengwei Madagascar, and Zhu Liguang, Civil Engineer of Zhengwei Equatorial Guinea, among others, successively obtained the DELF A2 certificate in French or the DELE A2 certificate in Spanish, meeting ahead of schedule the foreign language proficiency standard set by the Company for 2028. In accordance with the Company's regulations on foreign language learning, they have each been granted a two-pay-point salary increase and examination subsidies.

The outstanding results of these colleagues will encourage all units and business segments to enhance their foreign language proficiency with even greater enthusiasm for learning. Going forward, the Corporate Training Academy and the Human Resources Department will continue to organize foreign language training, assessment and evaluation, and incentive support, so as to create better conditions for employees to learn foreign languages, help them overcome language barriers in adapting to the Company's internationalized and localized operations, and contribute to the Company's long-term development.
