On September 12, 2026, WIETC (Weihai International Economic & Technical Cooperative Co., Ltd.) took part in the "228 Basketball Carnival" series of public welfare activities in Togo, visiting the "House of Hope" orphanage in Adétikopé and donating a batch of school supplies. As a sponsor of the "228 Basketball Carnival," the company also helped bring the event to life, contributing through concrete action to children's growth and to the cause of youth sports in the local community.

On the morning of that day, Mr. Lu Xinyong, Deputy General Manager of Togo Zhengwei Company of WIETC, was invited to attend the event and joined representatives of Togolese basketball circles and guests from various sectors at the "House of Hope" orphanage for this charitable occasion. French basketball players Isabelle Jacob and Ian Mahinmi, Miss Togo 2026 and other guests took part as well, adding their strength to the cause.

At the event, the children welcomed the guests with song-and-dance performances. The guests then handed out school supplies of various kinds, meeting the children's practical need for study materials. Afterwards, those present talked and interacted with the children on topics such as education, personal growth and perseverance. Each set of school supplies placed in the children's hands not only gave practical support for their studies in the new term, but also conveyed the care and encouragement of the wider community.

In his speech, Mr. Lu Xinyong said that WIETC has always integrated corporate social responsibility into every stage of its overseas operations, and that by taking part in public welfare activities the company hopes to bring warmth and hope to the growth of local children and, within its capacity, to contribute to local social development through concrete action.
In the afternoon of the same day, the basketball games of this year's carnival were held at the Lomé Municipal Stadium, where a two-point shooting contest, a slam dunk contest and a 3x3 basketball tournament were staged one after another. As a sponsor of this year's event, WIETC gave active support to its delivery, helping to make possible the basketball games, skills challenges and related training activities, and providing local young people with a platform for exchange, practice and self-expression.
